In 2004, Michelle Branch took a break from her successful solo career to team with friend and touring backup singer Jessica Harp in a new project called the Wreckers. Previous to the Branch collaboration, Harp had been working as a singer/songwriter in Nashville, and those country music elements mixed with Branch's pop sensibilities to inform the Wreckers' rootsy, harmony-rich sound. The duo debuted in autumn 2004, performing "Good Kind" on the WB teen drama One Tree Hill. "Good Kind" then appeared on the show's official soundtrack -- issued in January 2005 -- as the Wreckers prepared to release their full-length debut. Its first single, "Leave the Pieces," hit country radio before the album, Stand Still, Look Pretty, appeared in March 2006 on Maverick and reached number 14 on the album charts. The concert album Way Back Home: Live from New York City followed in 2007. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi

Trust me, I've read one and never posted it. Someone just started it to freak people out. So can you please just chill out and stop? Repost to get the word around.

It's sad that Michelle was wiped off the map because of her country striding. That's why people don't strive for country, because it's hard to leave that label.
I think this band, although fleeting, was great for both artists. It has enabled Branch to grow in the country-pop genre(which suits her VERY well!) and it has given recognization to considerable talented Harp. And I can see where the split came about- thew latter needed to get out from the former's shadow.
Anyway, it's a lovely duo, with GREAT harmony(something that's rare in today's band music) and nice songwriting.
I love One More Girl, Lay Me Down, and Crazy People.

I love Michelle Branch. Her single with Santana is to die for. Leave the Pieces is another great piece with her friend. There should be more songs like this
Leave The Pieces is a great song. It's too bad The Wrecker's couldn't have lasted longer, they would've been great. Their song My Oh My is my favorite though. When I was in Upper Michigan visiting relatives that song came on and I had totally forgotten about it! Radio incessantly forgets the old songs in favor of the new ones, which they play repeatedly. When I was in Michigan I heard so many old songs I had forgotten about.
Anyway, The Wrecker's, great group while they lasted!
