Manchester, U.K. outfit Working for a Nuclear Free City began as the studio project of Phil Kay (production, keyboards, vocals) and Gary McLure (guitars). In 2004 they adapted to the stage and added Kay's brother Jon on drums and Ed Hulme, who joined on bass and vocals, just a couple days before the first show. Showcasing a hypnotic assortment of rock and electronic music accompanied by layers of soft vocals, the recorded efforts include a self-titled album in October 2006 and the Rocket EP in March 2007. In addition, the band has also remixed such artists such as the Rakes and Starsailor. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
popular music is awful becuz artists & musicians do not like power & business so they do their own thing thus the industry is run now by what may comparable to dog breeders they find a performer that can do their tricks and run them on stage like a dog and pony show to collect money from consumers....they breed these proto-types starting young @Disney per instance & move em up ranks to bcum a recording superstar and w/ the winning opportunity to record w/ Dr.Luke and a slew of others......
A silent melody, a surface memory; a sound symphony became a part of me. A sudden shift between a different frequency. My hands have spread the sea, like there's a God in me. ^__^
One of my new favorite bands, although really their hypnotically sophisticated arrangements make them more in the vein of musical artists. In any case, they still rock!
