Jesus was taken into custody after praying so intensely he bled blood, he was beaten, mocked by a crowd of people who called him friend, had a crown of thorns buried into his brow, had nails hammered through his hands and feet, and raised on a cross, spit on, and as he breathed his last breath, the "curtain" (archway) of the temple was torn in two.

The lyrics and the message behind it are very intense.

I love this band musically minus the hardcore shouts, but i'm sick of all this preachy lyrical content. I mean, come on, your a death metal band, sing about something intense. In no way is jesus intense enough for death metal. Sing about some real heavy sh*t from the bible. Plus all this we need to fight chanting, seriously? I know you need some aggresive lyrics, but that doesn't at all go along with the christian message.
Man these guys are awesome. 2nd album is one of the best Metal albums you can find...Love the mixed vocals and God centered content...
