I just purchased this album from amazon based on hearing a song here and going to his website. I've never heard of this guy but I love the mix of dark and poppy. Has the feeling of Depeche Mode from my late 80s college days with a smidge of Nine Inch Nails tossed in.

Yes, you can judge the music by its cover. The music inside is as funny as the album art. I'm trying to convince myself this is a joke, but I looked into it and discovered that there are a ton of 13 year old Hot Topic girls with blackened eyes who love this guy. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who loves dark music.
