@djdomingo - Nope, Vai showed up for the following album. This is Adrian Vandenberg (supposedly) on guitar. The rest of the album's guitar work was done by John Sykes, who got fired by Coverdale to make way for Vandenberg & Vivian Campbell, from Dio's old band, to do the tour behind the album.
