But my prize for all-time album opener has to go to AC/DC, "Hell's Bells" on Back in Black. The bells, the building riff, and the thunderous rhythm section with Brian Johnson's snarling vocals. AC/DC's make-it-or-break-it album. And that song told you right where the whole album was going.

Agreed zerrch. We didn't need guitar hero to teach US how to rock! Best song to open an album ever? I can only imagine "Debaser" on Doolittle as being right up there.
