The Weeks

Mississippi-based Southern rock quintet the Weeks were formed by Cain Barnes (drums, percussion), Chaz Lindsay (vocals, rhythm guitar, vibroslap), Cyle Barnes (lead vocals), Damien Bone (bass), and Sammy D (lead guitar, glockenspiel, piano, vocals). If im not mistaken they are from jackson, MS and I'm from corinth and i missed their f**kin concert in Corinth Bc i was outta town. -_- F**k
I love The Weeks and you can pick up their music on Amazon. I've seen them live twice in St. Louis.
vocals are alot more like Everclear meets KOL. In the chorus Cyle Barnes sounds just like Art Alexakis

First of all I enjoy this song. After reading quite a few comments that they sound exactly like KOL uh no they don't! The sound of the both singers couldn't be more different and the sound of the actual band is completely different from KOL. IF the Weeks sound like anybody its Matchbox 20 before they sold out.

Saw these guys live in Houston. They were very cool, hung out with fans, signed autographs, and most importantly sounded awesome. I really hope they break out. And hate to break it you folks, but KOL didn't invent this sound. It's the South, there's alot of people down here who sound like this.

It's hard not to compare them to KOL because they DO have that sound...the thing is, they sound the way I wish KOL would today. The Weeks are reminscent of KOL's sound on their first two albums...why they couldn't have kept going in that bad a** direction I have no clue. BUTTONS is an AWESOME song!

At first when I heard them I definitely agreed with a lot of people thinking they sound a lot like KoL but their stuff is a little bit more grungy, love their music but stop comparing them to KoL.
I don't get why everyone compares them to KOL. :P They don't seem very similar to me. I love KOL, and I love The Weeks. Especially their guitar work:D It's awesome.

These guys are pretty good. And what difference does it make if they sound a little like KoL or not. Good is good. Bad is bad. And these guys are good!
Actually they are reminiscent of KOL's old stuff, after listening to a whole song I can tell they're different, but that's also because I know it isn't by them so I'm paying more attention to the differences. I'm not diminishing their ability any bit by comparing them to KOL - I love KOL (the old and the new) and I love Pandora for introducing me to The Weeks :)

Just heard The Weeks for the first time and it definitely sounds like KOL. I dig KOL's early work just as much as I do the new stuff. Radio play has diminished their appeal to the original fans to some degree. I get that. But the fact is the old stuff and new stuff all jams...just differently. To me, one is not necesarily better than the other. Just different...
way better than Kings of Leon...if you can't tell the distinct differences then you are not listening close enough or at all. I love this band and can barely stand KOL
