Fiery fusion guitarist. Krantz is an excellent multi-dimensional player, as likely to rock like Hendrix, or play duets with Leni Stern. ~ Michael G. Nastos, Rovi
great Bio....short concise....????? His guitar playing warrants more than this!

All,
Chances are krantz doesn't want the other recordings here. he's been to known to guard his work and be weary of free music options. he's a great player with a family to support, i can't blame him.
MORE MORE MORE MORE.. What else to say. :) WAHHH HOOOOO

this guy is awesome...wi s h he had a larger discography for pandora to choose from.once again, like frank gambale's, pandora has a really crappy bio.....
The two recordings of Wayne's that Pandora currently includes show how dramatically his style has evolved over the intervening 20 years. Really all of his solo works are distinct from one another; it's hard to single one out as a best introduction.

Anybody have suggestions as to best album to start with?
Connect Wayne to other artists via his drummer, Keith Carlock, who plays with Oz Noy, Steely Dan, and should really be recording under his own name, IMHO. If a band is only as good as it's drummer, then Keith takes nothing away from Wayne, they only complement and raise each other's playing to new strata.
There must be more history on Wayne than this, he toured with Steely Dan for a time. He grew up in Corvallis Oregon and played in several garage bands in the 70's. Dig deeper please.
Wayne has always been one of my fave niche artists--combines the soul of Scofield with the sweetness of Carleton and the speed of Scott Henderson--he is now where Kurt Rosenwinkel should aspire to go.
I have seen Wayne live. What an incredible musician! I spoke to him in Philly briefly after a show at Chris's Jazz Cafe', and if I could describe his playing in a brief statement, it's like audible cubism. Listening is one thing, but if you can see him live, do yourself a favor and see this artist!
yeah this record is his first, and while it's great, his other more recent records should be here as well. they were put out by his own label, probably why they are not here.

MUSIC CHOICE SHOULD HAVE A CHANNEL CALLED "JAZZ FUSION" ON THEIR LIST OF CHANNELS WHICH SHOULD SHOWCASE ARTISTS LIKE MR. KRANTZ AS WELL AS THE LONG LINE OF KNOWN AND OFTEN OVERLOOKED AND/OR OBSCURE FUSION RECORDINGS.
