This song still haunts me. It's like a heavy memory that has allowed the sadness to leak in a little, but not enough to take away from the happy moments. One of the most powerful songs from my adolescence. Eerily familiar and strangely addicting to hear these lyrics probably hundreds of times.
One of the few things I and my stepsister could agree on, this song! It was the only cd of hers I didn't break! (she was IN LOVE with the cursed boy bands and I always threatened to have a bonfire in middle of the bedroom floor with all her posters and horrible crap she listened to and me being in the same room I was forced to endure, stupid Back Street Boys and N'Sync! We curses you precious!!!)
Bob's great and all but I think his shadow may have been what really hurt Jakob's career. Bringing Down the Horse is a great album and Wallflowers were a pretty sweet band. Still can't figure out why they ended up as sorta a 1.5 hit wonder (gotta give some love to 3 Marlenias- I recall it getting its share of airplay back in the day).
