A suburban Chicago all-style-encompassing metal band, Veil of Maya released their first album, All Things Set Aside, in 2006, after signing to Corrosive. Members Brandon (vocals), Marc (guitar), the Higler (bass), and Sam (drums) spent the lion's share of the next two years promoting their debut through the age-old classic ritual of constant regional and national touring. Eventually the band was able to get a bit of time to record some new work, and in 2008 released album number two, The Common Man's Collapse. Signed to Sumerian, the band embarked on further touring, playing with such names as Arsis, A Life Once Lost, and labelmates Born of Osiris. ~ Chris True, Rovi
Jesus Christ... Who ruined the production of this album? Everyone is saying they've progressed so much, but all the technicality from the last two albums is gone and replaced with generic djent riffs...
please add The Common Man's Collapse! and also I think some song names might be switched around. i once heard "Conquer" on here but Pandora said it was named "Mowgli"
these guys are absolutely amazing. but they should definitely add Common Man's Collapse to the selected discography, that is such a sick and well-rounded album.

yeah Of Mice & Men is a poor choice because their like every other generic "core" band. Not to say these guys dont have a core aspect but at least they dice up the rhythm. Of Mice & Men just sounds like their trying to sound like Destroy The Runner and Destroy The Runner tries to sound like Haste The Day & As I Lay Dying. Creativity is hard to come by with these bands.
