Massachusetts metalcore enthusiasts Unearth formed in 1998 and immediately started rocking, both in around Boston and on the road. They quickly built up a strong following, booking tours with such like-minded acts as the Black Dahlia Murder and Killswitch Engage and supporting big names like Lamb of God and Slipknot. After issuing Above the Fall of Man (Endless Flight) in 1999 Unearth jumped to Eulogy for two albums, 2001's Stings of Conscience and Endless the following year. Their biggest exposure came in 2004 with the furious Metal Blade release Oncoming Storm. The album was a critical and fan favorite, and Unearth supported it with a slot on summer 2004's Sounds of the Underground Tour, which featured such tastemaking metal and post-hardcore acts as Lamb of God, Poison the Well, and Clutch. Unearth's lineup included vocalist Trevor Phipps, guitarists Ken Susi and Buz McGrath, bassist John Maggard, and drummer Mike Justian. The band released III: In the Eyes of Fire in August of 2006. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
Unearthed is a great band from what I have heard, I love LOG but I'm not gonna go bashing other peoples opinions, but the next person who says TBDM is a Panzy band is a dead man.
@kodacko I disagree. Though they often sound great, they could do with a MUCH better vocalist.

These guy's are as good as All that Remains, and As I Lay Dying, Unearth my be my next amazon mp3 perches(es), let there for ever be, Heavy-Metal/Metalcore!
IMO there are only a few Metalcore bands that do it right consistently. Unearth is probably the best, never getting softer like others did (Killswitch, All That Remains). Probably because there are no emo girls in the band haha

Don't ever put Black Veil Brides and Black Dahlia Murder in the same sentence saying they are panzy bands. Black Veil Brides, yeah a bunch of p**sy fu*&s. Black Dahlia, give them another listen, they are decent, not awesome, but decent.
skonjie just trolls band profiles. Guess he doesn't have anything better to do. I have seen his crap comments on about a dozen bands now. I think he just clicks similar artists and trash talks. Then comes back and jerks off to all the comments putting him in his place. Masochist troll.
I just love how you people diss a band like this and say they suck, I bet you like bands like Black veil brides, and The black Dahlia murder and those panzy bands.
Is anyone else exxxxxxtreamly BORED with metalcore...? You could take any song from any UNEARTH album and they all sound pretty much the same.....scream, chugga chugga......breakdown.....repeat
It's a shame that they only have the metalcore band Unearth here, because the doom metal band Unearth was way better than these guys. No offense meant, but when it came to skull crushing heavy riffs and an absolutely vicious atmosphere, you really couldn't beat Unearth(except if you were to bring up a black metal band, then it'd be a split race). No offense, but these guys don't carry the same weight as the other Unearth. I did see this Unearth at Bumbershoot once, they were pretty good.
The oncomming storm is by far their best work. The opening 30 seconds of the first song on the march is pretty much the highlight of the whole album. That riff is epic... rest of the album isnt really that good.
