A hauntingly sad song
Silvermare Martin Luther King Jr was not assassinated in the morning he was assissinated at 6:01pm. U2 was incorrect in their lyrics.

mrsysandy, yes, I do think this is a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. It's not their only one. Pride (In The Name Of Love) is another tribute to the highly esteemed civil rights leader. When you check out the lyrics to that one, it becomes quite obvious. He was assassinated on the morning of April 4th in Memphis, and his most memorable line was "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we're free at last!" I do believe MLK references his "I Had A Dream" speech.
