Got to do a project on Bono for school, so i spent like 5 hours just drawing the pictures for the project and listening to U2. One of the most peaceful days ive had in awhile :)
Chente. Love this song i remember that me ans my son used to go trucking listing to u 2 songs.the best memory's ever. I wouldn't trade them for the world!
Wow !!! I luv how all the holy rollers try 2 figure out what he's trying 2 say or the meaning of the song. How about U2 is just deep an real. The message is different 4 everyone an that's what make's it a classic. We should all feel blessed 2 b able 2 enjoy U2 there music is timeless. No disrespect 2 anyone lets just enjoy.:)- peace
Such a great gospel song in a rock format. Deep. Deeper. And Even Deeper. Lyrical genius. U2 have always had something to say and they are masters at doing it especially their 80's work where not many of their peers in music had much to say on a deeper level. Bono has done great things on a level I aspire to work towards. Peace
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For-Brilliant Classic Blues Rock Song!-This was the song that proved U2 took an American History Course-Bono gets an A+ on his Rock Final Exam! U2 are brilliant!
This song is clearly talking about Jesus, how he died for us, and how people are searching for meaning in life. People look towards drugs, alchohol, sex and money; But it all seems meaningless. They're searching for the true purpose of life, but they can't find him in any of stuff mentioned above. Just look towards Jesus, and you will find what you're looking for.
Speaking with the tongues of angels could also mean he's worshiping God, or that he, like an angel, is a messenger for the Divine. While the ability to speak in tongues is a Gift of the Holy Spirit, it is rare and many theologians limit that gift to the Day of Pentecost.
