This song is about Wisdom. Wisdom is a woman. She was with God and was His delight at the beginning of time. She moves in mysterious ways. Read Proverbs 1:20+, 3:11 to the end of 3, all of Proverbs 8, beginning of 9. There is alot more I could say about this subject, read and learn for yourself. Its really cool. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! As a kid, I never knew the guitar effects in this song were actually made by a guitar. I never wanted to let that curiosity and awe fade away, so after 18+yrs playing guitar, I still never want to learn how to play it. Hell, I clear my mind when listening to it and try to remember that amazement as a kid, and this entire album has since become something beyond music for me. However, this song was THE phenomenon, that spark, that started it all!
I love this song...I can remember being 13yrs old with a new copy of Achtung Baby just wondering how Edge made his guitar sound the way it does in this song....and then the video....so amazing. Still amazing at age 31.

The "incomprehen s i b l e " lyrics are... "She sees the man inside the child". Somehow radio stations in my area have morphed these lyrics and you can't hear them anymore. I've had the Actung Baby album since the early 90s and the CD definitely plays them recognizably .
Everytime I hear this I know that God is working in Mysterious Ways.
