Again, Pandora ridiculously just puts random Coldplay songs in similar tracks. This song is nothing like Clocks or Viva La Vida...it's not too much like Yellow either.
What a great tune from the Adam Clayton side of U2. Tough song with a challenging ending on how we have to carry each other. How can I help to carry my brothers and sisters? Nice. I don't mind any preaching from folks such as Rev Rob. Preaching should challenge us and force one to ask questions about self. Anyway, a nice tune about a challenge too many people have to go through. Peace.
I agree that it is a song about broken marriage & relationships. The last 2 verses point to Christ, The One. What a great tune, so much to think about. So many U2 songs have a separate meaning to the obvious lyrics. To those that have an ear to hear, Rev Rob

Bought this single on vinyl the day it was released at Wax N Facts in Atlanta. Ran into Bono coming out of the store. He was genuinely excited about the album cover--"Oh, I haven't seen this yet!"-- and proceeded to explain to me about the artist. Very nice guy.
Goddamn, I love U2. Their blend of power, passion and precision is unparalleled. Charismatic frontman, brilliant lead guitarist, disciplined drummer and consistent bass player, combined with music that is visionary in scope and mystical in style.

this is their best song. Saw them for the first time in Busch Stadium for ZOO TV show. At time, was not a big U2 fan but this song got me hooked and they have not let go.
While I don't like U2 as much as I used to, this song is still amazing. That said, I prefer Johnny Cash's version, but what song will Cash cover where his version _isn't_ the best? Man was a legend
U2...this band is simply the best....they put out CD..after CD of great stuff......if you are familiar with all of their CD's it is almost impossible to say which song...I like the best!!! Song..after song...that simply stand the test of time!!! U2 ROCKS!!!!
