Our lives were and are hard. We hold ourselves with dignity, pride and and relish the Gift that the Creator gave us...LIFE! The white man has tried and failed to destroy us...take our pride....dignity BUT we are still here!!! Aliyanna Hunka Papa Lakota
What the white man (my race) has never understood or taken for granted is in this title. It's easy to sit here and think how romantic/melancholy the music is, but how hard Native American's exisitence was. Everyday stuggling to eat, live and then take time to thank Father Sky and Mother Earth!
Arnold Richardson of London, whose Iroquois name is Tsa’ Ne’ Dos’e, plays traditional Native American flutes that he carves himself from cedar. After being presented with an Iroquois flute back in the 1960s, he began studying the craft behind the instrument as well as the meaning behind the haunting, centuries-old melodies and rhythms. Since then, he has been performing—and, recently, recording—a type of music not heard in Kentucky for many years.
There doesn't seem to be very much information on this artist. Plenty of sites offer his (or her) music for sale, but I couldn't find any biographical information.
