The Tossers

The Tossers formed on Chicago's South Side in the early '90s, predating such popular Irish punk bands as the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly. Comprising members Mike Pawula (guitar), T. Duggins (vocals, mandolin), Aaron Duggins (tin whistle), Dan Shaw (bass), Bones (drums), Rebecca Manthe (violin), and Clayton Hansen (banjo), the seven-piece band blends Celtic rock, punk, pub singalongs, traditional folk, and a tangible love of beer. The Tossers released four albums -- We'll Never Be Sober Again (1996), Long Dim Road (2000), Communication & Conviction: Last Seven Years (2001), and Purgatory (2003) -- before signing to the sizable indie label Victory Records, with whose backing they issued The Valley of the Shadow of Death in 2005 and Agony in 2007. After touring alongside groups like Shane MacGowan, Stiff Little Fingers, Dropkick Murphys, and Murphy's Law, the Tossers showcased their own energetic live act with 2008's Live on St. Patricks Day. ~ Kenyon Hopkin

The Tossers song labeled as Claddagh on Pandora is actually Leopardstown Races. Not sure how to go about fixing that but FYI for anyone who cares.

Are the Dropkick Murphys Irish at all? I believe they are Scottish.

I love the Tossers, but I wish they had more ambition. There's no reason they can't be as big as Murphy and Molly... and yes, new album, more touring, please!

Saw them live in 2000, when the sound system exploded and died, they moved to an acoustic set out on the street and barely missed a beat! Truly the best show I've ever been to!

I heard these guys through my Dropkick Murphys and my Voltair stations, and this exactly what I want to listen to when I think feel-good music. I'm not racist, but is this Irish or Scottish? I can never tell the difference, my own cultural ignorance I guess.

Ive seen them in St Louis couple of times. Can't wait till they get back in my area.

Tossers will be in Houston, TX with Dropkick Murphy's on July 5th!!!

YOU TOSSERS need to tour TEXAS. At least Dallas and Houston. Austin would love you, San Antonio is great too, but they're too far for me to drive to.
