The San Francisco quintet Thriving Ivory came together when Clayton Stroope (vocals) and Scott Jason (pianist and songwriter) met at college. They were soon joined by Drew Cribley (guitar), Bret Cohune (bass), and Paul Niedermier (drums) and, inspired by U2 and Coldplay, began playing gigs for their fellow students, as well as recording their self-funded, self-titled independent debut with Jellyfish's Chris Manning, who acted as their producer. While building a fan base with their shows and album, Thriving Ivory also got a boost from local radio station KITS, which put their song "Angels on the Moon" in full rotation; listeners soon made it one of the station's most requested tracks. After signing with Wind-Up Records in 2007, Thriving Ivory worked with producer Howard Benson on a new version of their debut album (including new and re-recorded tracks). It was released in June 2008. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
Beautiful song. I'm going to go listen to Delilah on STAR 104.5. You can bring Delilah up on your computer free. She takes calls from anywhere in the nation, so please come listen and call in and make a Dedication. Delilah is a very cool Chicky so keep trying your call if you don't get in the first time. PEACE, LOVE, AND HAVE FUN.
I'm in love with Clayton Stroope's voice. It's just... frickin' amazing. Can someone please tell me if Flowers For A Ghost was based off A Rose for Emily?

My Portuguese Angel From Heaven. I think I know that you suffer from Gout and Possible Osteo or Rheumatoid Arthritis. I think I know that you are Vegetarian and you try to stay away from many proteins in your diet. I think I know that you try to walk and get as much excercise as you can in. Can I do these things with you please? Just think about it ok? I love you. Either way ok? I love this song. Thank you.
Ugh this band's music makes me melt. I love it so much. That voice and the lyrics...... and I agree with everyone here, this is one of the most underrated bands I know.

Theses guys are going to be extremely popular one day soon. They have a very unique sound (esp. the vocals of Clayton Stroope!) and the lyrics are magical. I was a fan the first time that I heard them. I bought their cd as soon as it hit the shelves in my area. What a great album!!! I hope more people get to know and love their music just like the fans of Thriving Ivory already have! :)
