Thousand Foot Krutch

Toronto-area rockers Thousand Foot Krutch first appeared in 1997, when Trevor McNevan, Joel Bruyere, and Steve Augustine started putting a praise & worship spin on a rap-metal sound similar to Limp Bizkit or Korn. After building a buzz around Ontario with numerous shows, a strong demo, and thriving trade of MP3s through its website, Thousand Foot Krutch signed with Diamante and issued Set It Off, its official debut, in March 2001. The album featured a rap-rockified version of EMF's "Unbelievable," tricked out with a Christian-themed rap from McNevan.

TFK jumped to the much higher profile Tooth & Nail for September 2003's Phenomenon. They'd grown up considerably in the two years since Set It Off, and the new album reflected a more focused, rocking sound. The trio joined Kutless and FM Static for a late-2003/early-2004 tour. 2005's The Art of Breaking adopted a more mainstream rock sound, which carried over to 2007's The Flame in All of Us. 2009's Welcome to the Masquerade, which would be the band's last release with Tooth & Nail, entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 35, peaking at number two on Christian rock radio.

The group's sixth studio album, The End Is Where We Begin, arrived in 2012. It was their first album released entirely independently. In late 2013, the band released Made in Canada: The 1998-2010 Collection, which included two new tracks. Continuing their independent path into 2015, they released the hard-rocking Oxygen: Inhale, which was funded by a PledgeMusic campaign. ~ Johnny Loftus

Comment There Christian band look up on the internet I don't like when people say that they not Christian band
Report as inappropriate
I don't see the point of them being a Christian band or not, music is music, it's just meant to entertain, so honestly if you don't like the band because their Christian think about it, would you listen to them if you didn't know they were Christian band. My point is, drop you opinion of who they are and just enjoy the moment of music

I have a comment on the hating of Christians/n o n c h r i s t i a n s on this board. This is music, a form of art, and though it is meant to the artist for it to be related to Christianity , the music can mean different things to other people. For example, I like both Thousand Foot Crunch as well as Skillet (was mentioned) and most of their songs have lyrics that could be seen as double meanings. To be honest I didn't even realize they were Christian Rock bands until I looked at their biographies one day wh

I'm not christian but that doesn't mean i can't HEADBANG to TFK or some of my other favorite bands like Skillet and Pillar. I just enjoy the music, its not like they are putting sermons or s**t like that on a CD, they go HARD. (Also, great music to run to)

Dude if you aren't a Christian then keep rude comments about bands that are proudly Christians to yourself, ok?

It's unfortunate that they narrow themselves to the Christian rock label. Honestly alienates a larger fanbase. Shame, they are quite talented.
