With a Southern rock-influenced brand of metal that incorporates punk, grunge, and pure melodic hard rock into the blender, Texas Hippie Coalition (THC) at their best sound like Molly Hatchet and Charlie Daniels crossed with Pantera chasing after the rock ghost of Lynyrd Skynyrd, a music the band calls "red dirt metal," and very much a product of gigging out of Chickasha and Denison, Texas, not far from the Oklahoma state line -- Red River Valley territory. Formed in 2008, THC consist of Big Dad Ritch, John Exall, Wes Wallace, Timmy Braun, and Randy Cooper. The group self-released an album, Pride of Texas, in 2008. A second album, Rollin', produced by Dave Prater, appeared on Carved Records in 2010. The label also released a third album, Peacemaker, in 2012. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
I think this s**t rocks. I feel like I'm getting down to some ZZTop but feeling that same harnest anger you get from Pantera. I like listening to THC while smoking on some THC lol.
Nothing like pantera at all this sounds more like more of a pop wanna be metal song?? Just like every other s**t band out there today

And to those haters that can't tell the difference between THC and Pantera's sound should prob stick with Lady Gaga bc this music ain't for you, LOL. \m/ THC \m/
I have been following these guys around and they continue to "throw down" with the best of em. I have seen them in concert about 7 times now and if you havent, do yourself a favor. They know how we like it!!!
