A vocalist with a bigger-than-life stage persona, Storm Large is perhaps best recognized from her appearances as a contestant on the 2006 reality TV show Rock Star: Supernova. The tall, blonde-haired, multi-tattooed Large was born Susan Storm Large in 1969 in rural Massachusetts. Interested in performing from a young age, Large eventually attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After graduating with an associate's degree in 1989, Large moved to San Francisco, CA. While there, she sang in various bands including Storm & Her Dirty Mouth and Storm, Inc. Her next move took her to Portland, OR, and found her studying cooking at a local culinary institute. Ultimately, she returned to performing music and formed Storm & the Balls in 2002. A high-energy rock band that often mixes punk rock with a cabaret sense of irony, Storm & the Balls have covered songs by such unlikely bands as ABBA, Olivia Newton-John, the Cramps, and Metallica, often mashing the songs together in a kind of stream-of-consciousness rock medley. In 2006, Storm appeared alongside other vocalists on the second season of the reality TV show Rock Star: Supernova, competing to become the lead singer of a supergroup that included Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. It was during this show that she debuted her original composition "Ladylike." After getting voted off the show, Storm released a single of "Ladylike" featuring guitarist and Rock Star host Dave Navarro. In 2007, Storm released the EP Ladylike Side One. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
I don't get why this woman isn't larger in the music industry than she already is. She is a fantastic performer with a killer voice. The only reason she lost on Rock Star is because the band didn't want to be upstaged by her.
My daughter's middle name is Storm...we chose the name after seeing Storm Large on Rockstar! Such a strong yet feminine name!

I found Storm at The Heritage Festival in Sacramento in the late 90's and was blown away. She was so powerful. Then we were in line for a beer right behind her and she was ..well..nice, not in your face like she was on stage. I loved both persona. She should be alot more famous than she is .. Storm is a special talent!
i was listening to her prior to SuperNova, from downloading the song from her site. Then to see her on SuperNova, and was in awe of her performances. She doesnt rely on the band - she can hold her own. Glad to see ya still kicking Storm.
