Inspired to create something new after a chance meeting with singer Tessa Murray at a train stop, American expatriate Greg Hughes formed London quartet Still Corners. With a sound that's rooted in the reverb-drenched psychedelia of the '60s, the quartet, rounded out by members Leon Dufficy and Luke Jarvis, evokes the spacy experiments of
the United States of America , as well as the expansive, cinematic sounds of
Ennio Morricone , drawing upon European cinema for inspiration. In 2011, the band made its full-length debut on Sub Pop Records with
Creatures of an Hour . By the time of their second record, 2013's
