Most of the members of Stereomud (vocalist Eric Rogers, bassist Corey Lowery, drummer Dan Richardson, plus guitarists John Fattoruso and Joey Z) aren't newcomers to heavy rock -- Richardson is veteran of both the Crumbsuckers and Pro-Pain, Joey Z was in Life of Agony, while Lowery used to be in Stuck Mojo. Since the members hail from either New York or Georgia, the quintet split their time between the two states, as they honed their heavy yet melodic sound by playing shows and appearing on the now-defunct TV show Farmclub. Soon after, the band was signed to Loud Records (a subsidiary of Columbia), and 2001 saw the release of their debut, Perfect Self. The debut album employed the services of three different big-name producers: Don Gilmore (Lit, Linkin Park, Eve 6), Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon), and Howie Beno (Ministry, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sister Soleil) and was mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Godsmack, Orgy). ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
eric rogers is now in a band called dangerous new machine with billy grey from fozzy. they tour in geogia alabama and tennessee mostly, but they are awesome. if you like stereomed you should check them out.
They are what got me addicted to rock in general in about 2003 i realized how stupid pop was and the lies that rap hip hop and randb spread and how idiotic all of thos singers are and how blind this is why i decided to never listen to pop or lies

Stereomud is great but from the lyrics, especially on old man the singer must have had a real nice dad...
This band could be solely responsible for the reason I am addicted to rock concerts. They opened for Disturbed on the first Music as a Weapon Tour in 2001. I can remember them playing the song Stepping Away. One of my favorite songs of all time now. Great band.

Saw them back in 2001 and I still remember that show. Awesome.

They were handing out sample cd's by the dozens- I grabbed as many as I could get & gave them out to all my friends. Could not believe they broke up so soon..
Maybe if you had done like I did, and bought 3 copies when it came out in august of 2001, and given them to your friends, or told them to just find a way to pa

Stereomud is a very underrated band, I caught them live a few times back in '01 and 'o2 and they never disappointed. They probably were not the most talented band but 'Perfect Self' was an awesome album and their live performance was energetic and involved the crowde on most occassions leading to killer mosh pits. Corey lowery (younger brother of Sevendusts Clint lowery) was responsible for a grewling bass attack and Rogers' vocals were really good. Too bad for this band they disbanded.

They were awesome...
Also bought several copies of Perfect Self as gifts for buds. Bought Every Given Moment online as the pre-release. . .
Damn it...they DID break up too soon.
