This is a gorgeous piece...play e d beautifully. . . I don't know this artist, but he deserves much better than the review you have here! Thank God artists learn to have thick skins about reviews...

what is the song really called?

Once again pandora embarrasses itself with an outrageously inaccurate and pathetic bio. Ron Wynn, who did it, is the absolute worst reviewer of all time and doesn't have a clue about the artists nor the music that he writes about. Hey Ron, here's a suggestion ... do a little more research before you make a complete idiot out of yourself yet again. Pandora, find someone else to do your reviewing.
classical training for the operatic baroque waltz "Albinoni Adagio," uses a light highlyfe motif for "Kenya," and moves up to a Chick Corea like bright and bouncy original "Follow Me." The under cover-of-dar k n e s s motif "James Bond" is a neat interpretati o n of the movie spy theme...This is just about the prettiest piano project heard in recent years, and if it is within your taste level, will provide many bright moments of pleasurable listening. - Michael G. Nastos, Rovi
troubadours like Bill Evans, Harold Budd, or Ralph Towner. It's that innate sense of perfection and purpose linked with an intriguing diversity that makes the music of Parodi quite listenable. She uses modal minimalist inventions with some liquid electronics on the opening title track, follow-up by digitally delaying Buffalo Springfield' s evocative, pensive, original protest song morphed into a hopeful refrain on "For What It's Worth," and you are hooked. Then she returns to her classical traini
Here is what iTunes review of Common Places says:
Starr Parodi has crossed paths between classical, pop/rock, modern contemporary composition, and chamber jazz worlds, as is easily heard on this solo piano recording. Her beautifully delicate and crystalline touch is a universally enjoyable sound that can reach the soul of most romantics or daydreamers. Listen to Common Places more than once, and you hear an assured confidence and peaceful serenity that rivals previous passionate troubadours like
I don't understand this bio, wasn't Common Places selected as Solo Piano CD of the year by solopianorad i o . c o m , also her original James Bond Theme used as the backing track for several James Bond film trailers received a RIAA Gold Record and was included on The Best Of Bond:James Bond?!?!?
the Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” I’m not a habitual solo piano listener, so I felt some skeptical trepidation when feeding a piano CD into my drive. No worries. Parodi’s pianistic sense and delivery go way beyond creative. Words that come to mind while listening to Common Places include imaginative, courageous, dynamic, passionate, gutsy, pensive, restrained, and euphoric. I’m thoroughly entranced by the whole experience.

- Mark Vail, Keyboard Magazine
Starr Parodi’s latest CD, co-produced by husband Jeff Fair, may be subtitled “Piano Improvisatio n s , ” but it often includes a bit more than normal piano. Creative games were sparingly and tastefully played with a few piano samples, such as reverse playback, slow note attacks, and, in a brilliant instrumental cover of Stephen Stills’ “For What It’s Worth,” a pulsing rhythm pattern generated by passing piano chords through an LFO-modulate d filter, reminiscent of the Pete Townsend organ part in
Starr plays one of the nicest versions of Adagio I've ever heard. Unique - he makes it his own!
Her fruit may not be seen but it sure is received and felt !
GIFTED ARTIST WHO LISTENS TO THE UNIVERSE AND INTERPRETS WHAT IT WISHES HER TO COMMUNICATE FROM THE SOUL....QUIT E BEAUTIFUL!
