Skankin' Pickle

San Francisco-based ska-punk sextet Skankin' Pickle was formed in the spring of 1989 by vocalist/saxophonist Mike "Bruce Lee" Park, guitarist Lynette Knackstedt, bassist Ian Miller, trombonists Lars Nylander and Gerry Lundquist, and drummer Chuck Phelps. Forming their own label, Dill Records, the group issued a series of LPs including 1991's Skafunkrastapunk and 1992's Sing Along with Skankin' Pickle before disbanding in the wake of 1996's The Green Album; Park later formed the B. Lee Band and also helmed the Asian Man label. ~ Jason Ankeny

I would leave a comment about what I think of this band but i could care less about what any of you think so why should you care about what I think. Listen to what you want and shut up about it.

Saw them a couple times at the UCSB Pub, 1991-92. At the second show, I believe I suffered a minor concussion in a crowd surfing accident.

Yeah, great band. I was so sad to hear that they had already broken up by the time I'd heard of them.

Fever has to be my favorite album of theirs. Great all the way around.
