Simon Posford and Raja Ram are Shpongle, an ambient techno/trance project formed in 1996 after the pair viewed a solar eclipse in India. The two went into the studio and attempted to duplicate the experience in sonic form, and the result was a 20-minute track, "...And the Day Turned to Night," which was featured on a Twisted label compilation titled Eclipse. Shpongle's full-length debut album, Are You Shpongled?, was released in early 1999. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
I've seen Shpongle live, and I loved it before but Shpongle is a religion after having had the live psychedelic experience and having made contact with Simon himself :) I am truly Shpongled
There production is amazing! The sounds they use; the rhythms, vocals, ambient textures are def 21st century...maybe even beyond! They should do a film soundtrack!!!

I love Shpongle! Sadly, hardly anyone around where I am listen to this kind of stuff.
oh yea, shpongle is great. listened to them stoned, listened to them on mushrooms, and listened to it sober. ALL OF WHICH are completely MINDBLOWING..! no matter what your state of mind is, its a vast experience and it puts me in a trance everytime i listen to it

"The great thing is DMT is not needed with this music! All you have to do is listen and experience the sonic creativity and artistry and let your imaginiation take you to wherever it may go!"
Indeed!! However paired with psychedelics the album can quickly turn into a magic show/ride

Excellent! I hear a little bit of everything in this recording, such as the guitar solo and the Dynamic impact of the percussion and little details that come through are just great!
Shpongle Live in Concert at Camp Bisco X was something I will never forget. Words can not describe, so I took video footage of the event. Youtube channel "TheFesties" brings me right back to that very moment.. And I get to see them again in October in NYC, thank god.

The instant one speaks about a thing, they miss the mark.
Seeing the Shpongletron Experience next month and positively giddy over it. Love that the bio has, like, three sentences - because trying to describe their genius is. . .futile. But my ears certainly know.
