Niel Peart is a genius lyricist. Just saw rush in Dallas for the Clock Work Angels tour and it rocked! Their music inspired me through the 70's and I will always be grateful to them.

I have not missed a Rush Concert since back in the 80's . They never cease to amaze me. The first album I ever purchased was 2112. I used to hear it side to side with the headphones on. Their last effort was awesome . They are the greatest 3 piece band ever. As for being underrated. I honestly dont think they worry about it. I agree Walter, Rush is one of the most underrated bands of all time...which is a real tragedy. They are simply amazing and this song goes to show just how talented they are! Love Cygnus X-1!!!!
The lyrics are totally not abstract. "Prominent Bass Riffs" should be up there, just for the bass intro.
