Rufio

Originating in suburban Rancho Cucamonga, California, Rufio was formed in 2000 by members Scott Sellers (guitar, vocals), Jon Berry (bass, vocals), Clark Domae (lead guitar), and Mike Jimenez (drums). Sporting a bright pop-punk sound that drew comparisons to blink-182 and Sum 41, the band issued its debut recording, Perhaps, I Suppose..., in 2001 on the Revelation Records label. The band returned in June 2003 with the well-received MCMLXXXV (1985) (Rufio's first release on the Nitro label), which was recorded with the aid of producer Nick Rasculinecz and went on to sell over 75,000 copies. Rufio's members further upped their profile with a series of Warped Tour dates that summer.

A more mature effort, The Comfort of Home, was released in July 2005. By the following autumn, the guys had joined forces with MxPx and Relient K on a national tour. Berry amicably parted ways with the band in early 2006, though, with Jimenez following closely behind. Rufio added new members to the lineup and hit the road for a string of springtime shows, but the loss of two founding members proved to be a difficult hurdle. The next year, Rufio officially called it quits, playing their last American shows in June 2007 and capping things off with a short South American tour.

The breakup didn't last long, though. Rufio gave a few scattered performances throughout 2008 and officially re-formed in 2009, with newcomers Taylor Albaugh and Terry Stirling, Jr. rounding out the lineup. After releasing an EP, The Loneliest, in December, the group returned the following year with Anybody Out There. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi

I've loved Rufio since I saw a fan created music video for Face the Truth using scenes from Final Fantasy X. I'm glad they left us with one last album before they broke up permanently.

man been a rufio fan since 03 and still jam there s**t everyday wish they would have gotten the fan base they deserved true legends, enough said

Saw these guys in Houston a long time ago. Lead guitarist was crazy. Definitely liked the first two albums the best. Until you start selling albums, it's hard to to have any force behind a comment like they suck.
You know, Rufio should have been on Skrilex's Bangarang EP. It would have cemented the whole Hook refference. Because who but Rufio could shout out to all his Lost Boys?
@mullaney.10 are you out of your f*****g mind?
you know what band really sucks? bad brains...
skonjie this is punk/pop not emo :)
Why is this band still poping up on my Bad Brains station? I've deleted this crappy emo band already. It's not even close to punk! This is awful!
"Don't hate on Jon Berry. They're still friends and the band sounds better now anyways."-YO U MEAN THEY SOUNDED WORSE THAN THIS CRAP!?
WIMP ROCK SUCKS!
ruuuuufioooo . . . ruuuuuufiooo o o . . . . . !

Don't hate on Jon Berry. They're still friends and the band sounds better now anyways.
Umm, this band is NOT broken up. They have a new bassist and drummer and a new album coming out summer 2010 called 'The Full Reality'. I hope to see it on the selected discography.
Rufio has always been one of my favorite bands.
Ive seen them play live about 5 times now.
Its a shame they split up. SCREW YOU JON BERRY!!

For those of you who like rufio's style of music, you should check out a band i came across a couple years ago that sounds very similar to rufio. They're called "Best Interest"... i couldnt seem to find them here on pandora, but go search google or something and check them out.

PS. FU*K THE HATERS. RUFIO ROCKS YOUR MOM. AND YOUR SISTER. AND YOUR DOG

Pandora really needs to add "Perhaps, I Suppose" to their "Selected Discography. " That's their best album.

lol. You know, they have the Ipod touches for like $150 or something really cool like that, and if you don't know what they are, they are just like the Iphone (Look like them too) and have everything they Iphone does except the phone part. They're an Ipod, computer, camera, calculator, calendar, and all that. So you could get Pandora on that too, just like a computer. You'd still be paying for internet, though, just not through your phone. They're pretty cool. Ru-fi-o! Ru-fi-o! Ru-fi-o! lol. I'v

Travis, this may come as a shock, but that has nothing to do with the band.

Sorry to go against the grain here... I like remakes of songs, so I think dont you forget about me is a good song... I haven't heard anything else done by the band yet
Hey! I like Rufio! So get off!
Oops, did they sing this out loud?
What a sack of ships! Who's daddy works at the agency?
Who says you can't shine sh@#? This was pretty shiny...
Ahhhhhgreed.
not to offend anyone here, but i can't even believe that:

A: they got signed

B: they have fans

C: i decided to check them out

immature lyrics, horrible vocals, ripped off boring and plegurized melodies. a fatal attempt at "punk"/"orig i n a l " / " w e ' r e such rebels"
the only good album they have, you mean
Perhaps, I suppose

come on now thats the BEST album they have... =\

oh well.... the rest is pimp though =>
