Saw these guys in Scottsdale, AZ for the first time a couple of weeks ago! immediately hooked!

Best honest to God Rock and Roll band out there. They personify Independent Rock spirit. Greatest live show on the planet. Both heart and soul are left on the stage after every performance.
Is it just a coincidence that Down Together by The Refreshments has a line that says: We can put on ripped up clothes/ and pretend we're Dead Hot Workshop?
Been with these guys since the beginning! They are the best live show around and still manage to put out good quality albums every few years! Keep it up Roger!
Hands down the best live performance I have ever seen! True talent and a great time! I will be seeing them for my second time in Albuquerque this week!

Saw RCPM open for Cowboy Mouth a few years ago. It was an awesome show...ended up spending all my beer money on RCPM cds!
RCPM has a new album coming out next month ( April 2011) !!! "Unida Cantina" Check it out. My absolute favorite band to see live. Lost count how many times I've seen them.

I remember a long time ago hearing about there being a Refreshments/Dead Hot Workshop sort of rivalry. I tried googling it, but couldn't find anything. Obviously not too big of a rivalry if Steve Larson ended up in RCPM.

They were just here in Ptown on Nov 12. It was my 5th show with them. Roger is one of the best live performers ever. He has a great band and a true love for being out there. The crowd sings every lyric. Excellent stuff. Go see him if you get a chance, you will not be disappointed. Here's to life.
im not sure if there will be another album. steve larson left the band and there is a legal battle going on as far as i know.

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are the most fun I have ever had! I love all their albums, but especially the live ones, because its easy to imagine yourself at their show. If you haven't caught them before, do yourself a HUGE favor and check them out, you will be an instant fan!!
Try Calexico, Giant Sand, Gin Blossoms, Old 97s, Slobberbone, The Drams,...I'll think of more....I added them to my Roger Clyne station and its good stuff.
I am new to Pandora, and so far love it. I was wondering how we can influence the "similar artist" choices for Roger Clyne. I am not trying to start a "I hate your favorite band" thread, but want to keep it more positive - can you think of some popular artists that are similar? I was introduced to Fastball and Cross Canadian Ragweed here, and really like them. But not so sure about the more mainstream groups - Counting Crows, Weezer, Tom Petty. Who would you choose?
I'd say that's a pretty fair biography, except no mention of the fierce following (unless you deduce that's how they managed such impressive independent sales...). I mean, we - the rabid cult following of the Peacemakers - are CRAZY. This band is special to those who are familiar with them. Very special. Spooky special. And those are the intangibles that a fair bio should include, eh?
And yes - get yourself to Rocky Point each spring and fall, you won't be disappointed!
RCPM offers a good, quality blend to my often times trite music collection. He writes brilliant lyrics and aptly melds the Mexican influence into his music.
I highly recommend you pack your sandals and a toothbrush, and head to Circus Mexicus! Head down to the bay and get ready for a weekend of great rock! Great times are had by all and I promise, you'll be back!
I've been following this band since their early days in Tempe. They continue to grow and entertain. They are a great live show if you ever have a chance to hear them.
