The pride of Colleyville, Texas, Bryce Avary recorded and released two initial EPs before taking the Rocket Summer to stages worldwide. Avary signed with the Militia Group in 2002 and released the Calendar Days LP a short time after; a gifted songwriter and musician, he played every instrument heard on the album, debuting a lush, layered, and exuberant sound that blended alt-rock and emo influences with references to his faith. The Tim O'Heir-produced Hello, Good Friend followed in 2005. By that time the Rocket Summer had gained a reputation not only for Avary's multi-threat talent in the studio, but for his and his band's energetic live shows. Militia reissued his first self-titled EP in November 2006, retitled The Early Years EP, whose original 1,000 copies had been sold out since Avary had recorded and released it at age 16 (circa 1999/2000). The iTunes EP was released in early 2007 and, following a move to Island/Def Jam Records, Avary released his third full-length, Do You Feel. In 2009 Avary released the four-song EP, You Gotta Believe, which featured material that would appear on the band's fourth album, 2010's Of Men and Angels. In 2012, Rocket Summer returned with Life Will Write the Words. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
I loved Bryce after I heard his first song, but after I started to keep listening, I'm a total fangirl. LOVE!

i've seen Bryce live about 3 times, his live performances are amazing! He puts his heart and soul into every song live and on the albums. He is amazing!
i thought it sounded very gay until I read a little. I have to admit that is pretty good to be able to do it all oneself. Even if i don't care for the type of music. ta hell with me, anyway.

Tara is sooo sweet! Bryce loves her a lot, you can tell, he talked to me about her and where she had gone to college and stuff, he's not gay.

I hate how people assume anyone with a high pitched voice is gay.
For example : Anthony Green as the highest voice in the history of forever and people think he's gay. He is a married man, married to a woman. And I've met Bryce's wife Tara and they are the cutest couple who very much love each other.

Stephen Bryce Avary isn't homosexual. he is married to his highschool sweetheart. i think her name is Tara, and they are in LOVE. he may have a slightly femmie voice, but ai can guarentee he isn't gay. the song Colors is about him and Tara..
i love his and his inspiring musci. definatly a hearo, and a guy to look up to.. can't wait for more Bryce!

hes cool and writes good songs but i just wanna know, is it just me or does he sound like hes gay?
He does this thing in concert where he starts playing drums, records a loop, goes to the bass, plays with the loop and loops the bass part, to guitar and does the same thing, then ends up on the keyboard for the rest of the song. Pretty darn cool...
A guy that can complete his own album music all by himeself; this guy really impressed me. His music speaks volumes and his passion for it screams even louder.

still wish i had gone to his concert. considering he's my favorite
