LOVE Rick Danko's 1978 Soundstage version of Sip the Wine!!!
an awesome song. Been playing Pandora on this The Band station all day, and this song is the high point. I have had to stop what I'm doing and post a comment.
This song is almost up to Band standards. It looses steam halfway through the song, but the first half is almost as good as anything Danko sung.
hearing this song on pandora made my day...the few seconds that it's played in the last waltz is one of my favorite moments, but i never took the opportunity to look it up on itunes. thank you pandora for bringing it into my everyday music tracklist. happy holidays.
