Redbone was a Los Angeles-based group led by Native American Pat and Lolly Vegas. They hit paydirt in 1974 with the million-seller "Come and Get Your Love." Lead singers Pat and Lolly Vegas had previously worked under their own names, appearing in the 1965 film It's a Bikini World prior to forming Redbone. Their first success as Redbone came in 1970 with "Maggie" on Epic. "The Witch Queen of New Orleans" did somewhat better the next year, and "Come and Get Your Love" gave them their largest and last hit in 1974. ~ Bill Dahl, Rovi

Some of the most talented and versatile musicians to ever form a band. They were ahead of their time both musically and politically and were never given the credit they deserve.
nostalgic sound from "back in the day" Ilove that "King-kong" drum beat laid down by Pat!

the bio on this band is woefully inadequate...these guys laid down monster grooves and could jam with anyone from funk to fusion...they created their own genre with native American themes, chants, etc. Lolly Vasquez(Vegas) died in March of this year from complications of cancer.

This compilation is all re-recorded cover versions... how about some original Redbone on here?!
