Red Sparowes
Red Sparowes play a form of intensified, experimental post-rock with a notable use of pedal steel guitar. The Los Angeles act formed in 2003 and features current and former members of other bands: guitarist Bryant Clifford Meyer (Isis), guitarist Josh Graham (visuals for Neurosis), bassist Greg Burns (Halifax Pier), bassist/guitarist Andy Arahood (Angel Hair), and drummer David Clifford (Pleasure Forever). After recording demos for their debut album, they toured with the Dillinger Escape Plan and Made Out of Babies. Following the departure of original bassist/guitarist Jeff Caxide (Isis) and drummer Dana Berkowitz in late 2004, At the Soundless Dawn was issued in February 2005 through Neurot, home to Neurosis. Red Sparowes toured Europe in spring 2005 and the U.S. later that year with Pelican, Big Business, and Breather Resist. Note:nothing can outdo classical music, it has been around way longer than anything today (obviously). It will always be at the top, but that doesnt mean everything below it itn't good. My favorite genre is metal, but i accknowledge the classical greatness. Remember, this is just my opinion.

You can subdivide them some more, but i dont see any point in it; metal is metal, rock is rock, and rap is (c)rap. Sorry for all those out there how like rap, but i just dont see why it is so great; i dont see it as musical genre, but i see it as a form of expression. We all have the freedom of expression. But rap uses viturally no music theory, if any.
I disagree with this statement. First off, let me say that i think these guys are great. Any band who can pull off an instrumenal has my respect. But i believe all the "-core" genres are just a way for people to riducule one band or group of bands without ridiculing the ones they like. None of these genres are necesarily bad.
These guys are one of the best "Experimenta l Alterna-Core " bands out there.
Monikers for music genres is just marketing hype in disguise.
New is not necessarily cool. New is old. Any art history
buff can tell you that. Music = Art b/w history.
