The industrial/goth rock outfit Razed in Black may be the only such band to hail from Hawaii (the town of Ewa Beach, to be exact). Comprised of members Romell Regulacion (guitar), Chris Nelson (vocals, bass, and synths), and Raj Kapololu (drums), the trio draws inspiration from the usual suspects, including Nine Inch Nails, Sister Machine Gun, and Chemlab. Originally formed in the mid-'90s, Razed in Black has issued several full-length recordings (all on the Cleopatra label): 1996's Shrieks, Laments and Anguished Cries, 1997's Overflow, 1999's Sacrificed, and 2003's Damaged; plus the 2001 EP Oh My Goth, which featured remixes of tracks by DJ Rib, DJ Evil, and Matthew Grim. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
@Delia Ketchum...I like the KMFDM version better, but Razed In Black did a very interesting cover of A Drug Against War. I think Come Back To Me might be one of my favorites.

it's time for some new material guys. i've worn out all of the rest, lol. though they'll be near and dear to me forever....
u guys should see the movie where velvet gets his backround voices from.its this movie with johnyy depp and benecio del toro they get all there sounds effects from movies line
These guys don't sound anything like Assemblage 23 or Imperative Reaction. The others I can see, but A23 and IR are on a completely different and higher level of talent and ability. They compared them to KMFDM?! That's blasphemy!!
He can sound like Trent, that's why his NIN covers sound so good, but he has his own sound. I saw them in Hawaii and they are great live. This was before they changed to RiB.
you have to go see this band live they where the best i ever seen!! i mean ever,, better then tool, the cure, billy idol, the killers, marilyn manson, she wants revange, any others i cant think that i saw
We used to joke that Reznor stopped making music cause this guy stole his voice. They've changed a lot from "Shrieks, Laments..." cause I don't hear Reznor in Razed anymore. Add to cart.
I remember so much of their music from when I lived with a bunch of x-heads that everytime I hear them I roll again! Damaged is my fav. album and always will be! They are a must have at any party, people will always ask who they are and remember it!
Hey, max.mcelroy, you forgot Sisters of Mercy and Type O Negative. ;-) These guys aren't the greatest band I've heard, but they're not bad either. The singer definitely sounds like Trent Reznor.
At this point in time, it would be hard to say that there is an industrial/goth/tech-rock band/group that has not been influenced by NIN, KMFDM, Ministry, Die Krupps and more. That point is kind of moot, might as well just skip it and understand these guys kick a**. Besides they're Hawaiian, how could you go wrong there? =P

Sorry, could not help it.
Not bad though. They are not trying to be like everybody else and we are not getting a fake deep Elvis voice either.
Good dark music!
my favvie song by Razed In Black is "Visions"
might as well throw Nitzer Ebb on that list as well for that matter.
