I'm really digging Pandora since I joined this July, I've already discovered a couple of cool artists (see bookmarks) that escaped my attention until now by coming up in my "Hauntedkid.." station. But here's a quirk of the mix: I have, I think, like 400 artists as seeds as of the time I write this. None of those artists are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, or Black Flag. Yet all of those bands come up over and over in the rotation, while the majority of artists that actually are seeds never come up... Some of the above bands I like or even like alot, but I am burnt out on all of them from the radio (Zep, Beatles), early 90s era MTV (Nirvana et al), or my own early days getting into music (Pistols, etc.), or I just don't like the band in the first place (Floyd, the Dead). Oh well, could be worse... least Bon Jovi never comes up, thank God...
The "Hauntedkid Presents: The Ramones Radio" station is representative of what I like. The other stations have only the one artist from the name; Initially I didn't realize you could do more with them, and since they're created I don't see any reason to delete 'em. "Hauntedkid" just refers to my old screen name on AOL/AOL hometown. I use it here b/c that was a time (like 10 years ago) when I was very happily immersed in music and stuff. However I am not a "kid". I may well be "haunted" though, whatever that might mean... BTW, Boo Pandora for not recognizing seed requests for: Wayne/Jayne County, M.O.D, Varukers, Subway Sect, the Crack, LEEWAY!, the Freeze, 24-7 Spyz, Alice Bag Band/the Bags, the Blitz, Rockats, Brickbats, Jack Baymoore & the Bandits, Go Cat Go (band), Rigor Mortis, Frantic Flattops, Circus of Power, Rocket 88 (band), Necros, UNDEAD!, Dust, Dr. Demento, Independents, Grammatrain, Cult of the Psychic Fetus, Witchfinder Greneral, VITO & the ELEGANTS!, Live Skull, Old Skull, Sprague Brothers,
