Much like Johnny Cash, I belive in being open-minded, and that every genre has a great song, regardless of what the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame thinks.
One more thing: I went away to a music festival. While I was gone, some impersonator tried to get people banned (which I never do) and tried to make me look bad. The suspect list is down to Papi, Moomoo and Willow.
Let me clear some things up: I don't take it up the a** from George Michael or Elton John (SIR Elton is married), I'm not from Liverpool, I'm from the Midlands (the roots of The Moody Blues, Slade, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest; not bad.) In fact, I'm not even living in England right now, though I'm moving back soon. Hopefully the mods will deal with him soon.
In the meantime, a PROPER True Metal list, since some people are getting the wrong idea about what True Metal is:
-Motorhead (the four holy trinitys of British metal)
-Metallica (have some respect)
-Tool (Shut up, they rock as hard as anyone)
-Alice in Chains
-Faith No More might fit in here as well
-Lamb of God
-System of A Down
Not necessarily metal, but definitely influenced it:
-The Beatles (No, I'm not joking; just listen to "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "Helter Skelter")
-The Kinks (ramped up the distortion)
-New York Dolls (Depending on your definiton of metal)
-Cream (shame on me for forgetting them)
