Beware. Honest and truthful rant. The 70s, when the world turned from B&W to color, was the best decade for music and pop culture in American history. And if you do a scientific study based on the parameters of the Music Genome Project, charts will prove this. Most hits were melodically superior in the 70s and depressed Gen XYZ/grunge fans who prefer minor key tonality can't deal with happy music. With online and/or satellite radio, all you get treated to from the 70s is obscure soul, folk, R&B and disco minus the AM pop, soft rock ear candy and singer/songwriter hits that defined the decade. So my taste reflects catchy real music left out.
