I've played in a handfull of bands, from an industrial band to a rock band to a grunge band to a sludge metal band. It is all amazing. Doesn't matter what music you're playing, as long as you're playing. It's a reflection of your soul and such a creative outlet in this life. There is nothing better than creating art - be it painting, sculpting, drawing or music. It all comes from who you are. The music I love never ends. If a song could play forever I feel I would be in heaven. I feel the longer the better. It's such a ride to listen to a progressive song without any lyrics. You can hear the emotion better than words could state. The ego is gone and all that is left is the pureness of who the artist is. I love it. Here's a list: Russian Circles, ISIS, Pelican, Tides, Ganon, Cult of Luna, Jesu, Irepress, Meshuggah, Red Sparrowes, Agalloch. There's many more, that's just a few to check out if you haven't.
