i grew up listening to the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, etc. thus, i have a propensity for excellent taste in music. i've gone through a grunge phase (i'm actually not quite sure if i'm out of it yet) with Nirvana, Hole, some Riot Grrrl (Daisy Chainsaw, 7 Year B**ch, Bratmobile, Bikini Kill), The Vaselines, Scratch Acid and Smashing Pumpkins (this band is often grouped together with Nirvana and Pearl Jam but i believe they have a much wider range of musical ability than given credit for.) definitely still in an 80's/New Wave phase with New Order, Joy Division, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, A Flock of Seagulls (they are much more than "I Ran") currently going through a hipster-type thing with Grizzly Bear, Beirut, Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Department of Eagles, etc. of course there are a thousand different artists and bands that i am not mentioning because to do so would take more time than i have to spare. (my heart will forever belong to Bright Eyes.)
