Music is one of my passions. I have had a fascination with music from a very early age and began taking guitar lessons in the fifth grade, foolishly thinking as many kids did, that I would grow up to be the next Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton.
The practicing paid off, as I did play in a few rock bands in the latel 1970's and early 80s while in high school, but later gave it up as other activities interfered or took priority. Nevertheless, I consider myself something of an expert and/or historian when it comes to Rock Music -- from the pioneers, such as The Beatles, all the way to today's headliners (i.e. Godsmack, Foo Fighters, Shinedown, etc.), and everything in between.
My first concert was Aerosmith, with Triumph opening, in Houston, Texas in 1976. That same year, my older sister and her boyfriend took me to see TheThe Who. This concert proved to be a bit historic as drummer Keith Moon died just a little more than a year later of an overdose of sedatives. Overall, I have been fortunate enough to see just about every major rock band that has toured America, and even some in Brazil, where I lived for 12 years.
