I'm a psychotherapist by profession, [profile]mdavid-lpcc.com[/profile], an owner/builder of my humble off-grid straw bale house in rural New Mexico, married for 29 years to my beloved wife and no-competition best friend Nancy; a sometime poet, wildman, spiritual bottom-liner, and occasional creative freely improvising drummer. I grew up listening to jazz as well as the newly ubiquitous rock and roll (I love both, for very different reasons), and I started music lessons in the third grade: first violin, then piano, and finally I discovered the drums. More recently, I'm teaching myself blues harp. I enjoy everything from classic mainstream blues-roots piano jazz, to the most outside free music available. Acoustic preferably, but I love high energy amplified electric too. It's all about the quality, not the name.
