I'm 16 years old, female, and a musician. My taste in music has evolved so much over the past couple of years, mostly because of my exposure to new bands by my dad and my fellow marching band geeks. I'm always open to new bands and songs, so just post a comment if you think you know someone I'd like. I love indie, classic, and punk rock among other things. Currently my favorite bands are The New Pornographers, Arcade Fire, Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five, Cake, and Weezer (pre-Ratitude). I will forever adore Journey and Queen. They're timeless. I worry about what auto-tune is doing to music nowadays. I worry that it will make music with real, authentic instruments and voices obselete. It's also really difficult to avoid because of how much it's used nowadays. I'll admit that I have some auto-tuned songs on my iPod. Not even auto-tune could keep me away from Glee. =) In general though, music and listeners everywhere would be a lot better off if auto-tune had never been invented. I've played the trumpet for over 7 years now, and it's pretty much my life. I'm looking to do it professionally eventually. But I still have a lot of school to go through before that happens. ;) Speaking of, I'm heavily involved in the college search, and any suggestions for good music schools in Colorado would be greaty appreciated. My top picks right now are University of Denver, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Colorado at Boulder. ╔═══╗ ♪ ║███║ ♫ ║ (●) ♫ ╚═══╝♪♪ Music=life, love, peace ----- Dear Obama, Stop sucking up to the conservatives to try and get more votes in 2012.
