Grew up listening to the 70's & 80's rock so I'm still a fan of that. However... Country music took me by surprise when it began to speak to my love of the outdoors. I live for Waterfowl & Turkey Hunting and they each call to me as the seasons change. When the oppressive heat of Summer leads into the cooling winds of Fall I look to the northern skies waiting for the Mallards to begin their annual migration into Arkansas. If you haven't stood in the flooded timber, calling to high flying Mallards... You haven't lived. Then again... when the freezing cold of Winter breaks and leads into the warming days of Spring. I watch as the local foliage begins to pop and long for the third Monday of April, for it's the opening day of Turkey season here in Missouri. A hard gobbling bird will get your attention real quick.! These country songs are my heart & soul... And I am not complete without them.
