Daniel is a Hebrew name meaning "God is My Judge"
I moved to Huntington Beach, CA in 2004 after being born and raised in the Indianapolis, IN area. I just bought my first home in Costa Mesa, CA only minutes from Huntington Beach. I work as a licensed Realtor at a Re/Max real estate office in the Huntington Harbour area of Huntington Beach.
It's funny how your music tastes change over the years. The first concert I ever went to was the Monkees. I was really into them when I was a pre-teen along with Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue and of course Guns n Roses. Then I found rap music. Young MC, Public Enemy, Too Short, DJ Quik, Digital Underground, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Those were some of my favorites in my early teen years. Then alternative rock hit the scene. Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Greenday, Blind Melon, Smashing Pumpkins and so many others hit the scene and my music interests quickly changed.
Strangely enough the first CD I ever had was the Doors self-title album and after a few years of listening to alternative rock I started realizing that classic rock was the forefather of a lot of the sounds from alternative music. Soon The Doors, CCR, Led Zepellin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jethro Tull, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead became my daily music regiment.
My interest in the Grateful Dead peaked the year Jerry Garcia died and introduced me to another jam band called Phish. Little did I know I would be so enamored with Phish that I would attend nearly 60 Phish concerts and still counting. My Grateful Dead roots and new found love for Phish opened doors to Widespread Panic, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Umphrey's McGee, Rusted Root, Ratdog and Merl Saunders.
Today I still listen to a bit of all the aforementioned bands and their respective genres including some Christian rock and praise worship bands like Mercy Me, David Crowder Band, Hillsong United and Switchfoot.
