I like many forms of music but will listen to anything that exhibits some degree of apparent sincerity or soul. Originality goes a long way with me too. That is very hard to come by. I have noticed a stunning variety of musical genres on nearly every Pandora listeners profiles. This is very healthy and far more common than one might imagine based on radio in general and concert promotion in particular. People have much more diverse taste in reality. I mean I would dig going to a show where Leo Kottke might open up for Mettalica. Or Cracker open up for the Manhattan Transfer. They used to do that sort of thing in the '60's. Like the Monkees and Jimi Hendrix....well, bad example..anyway I like a lot of stuff and so does most everybody else. Too bad marketing idiots lost sight of that. I guess it makes it harder to target us to buy useless products if they acknowledge our complexity. I play drums and some guitar, had a band named Pfiesteria for ten years. We played somewhat eclectic stuff. New band is Jehovah's Witness Protection Program and continuing to do mostly original off-kilter subversively humorous stuff.
