I love music! Just about everything. But Jazz and the Blues of Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans light my soul. Yes, Soul and then some Popular Ballads and Torch Songs. I collect Nancy Wilson. If money allowed I would collect all the jazz ladies and a few good men ... Luther, Ocean and John Legend; and don't forget some Teddy Pendergrass.
I will write more when I am rested and remember what I like. At 26 hours awake it is hard to pull the names out.
I was a oboeist in high school. I enjoy classical, symphonic band and orchestral in any genre.
My living room stereo is connected over a wireless music bridge to my laptop. The main wireless router joins the wireless music bridge to the network. This gives me the options of playing music in the living room using the laptop as my junkbox or in my office using a set of wonderful old 2.1 speakers. The subwoofer will run you out of here. My new laptop's speakers (Altecc Lansing in a HP Pavilion DV6333) are great and do well for a little background music while I am working on things. All but 5 albums are stored on a desktop USB drive. That 100 or more and plenty or room to backup my full system with revisions 3 deep. The Pavilion's large drive tempts me to copy more of my CDs to the laptop making them as portable as the laptop. But I don't travel much and there just is nothing pushing me to do the work.
I would love to hear from others who like my favorite singers and groups. I will bookmark more of the stuff that I love soon.
