Started playing Trumpet about the age of 13. At that time my music of choice was Modern Jazz (Be Bop and Big Band Jazz). Played in small combos around Nottingham. Also played in the Nottinham Youth Jazz Orchestra (Big Band) every Sunday at the Astoria Ballroom in Nottm.
Fav's back then were; Dizzy, Miles, Maynard Ferguson, Charlie Parker etc.
Sold my Trumpet for money when I was drafted into the army.
Moved to Canada in mid 50's and to US in mid 60's.
Many years later took up playing guitar (folk) and gradually morphed into blues playing and singing.
Fav's now; Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many others.
