I'm just a 50 year old girl that loves music- every kind of music. Music is like food, you can't eat the same thing every day. Besides music "speaks" to me and sometimes for me, for I lost my voice to throat cancer. So if a song has a rhythm that makes me want to move, lyrics that can make my heart rejoice or cry, a melody that haunts me or makes me feel the sheer beauty of the world, then that's the music for me and I could care less what label or genre that is placed on it. From Broadway shows to Led Zepplin, if it has musical value, I listen to it. There are a few screeching bands out there that wouldn't know what real music is that I cannot listen to but if someone else finds something in it for them, then I cannot deny them that freedom, it's just not for me. My mp3 player has music from the 40s to now on it and I take great pleasure in listening to all of it.
