I have a music minor--I've played keyboards of various kinds since I was 4. I have a jazz quartet, and am a church organist at two different congregations in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In my spare time, I play Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Richard Rodney Bennett, and Keith Jarrett. I've written quite a bit of jazz for my quartet. Lately I've landed quite a few solo piano gigs playing jazz and some classical; I gave my most recent classical piano recital in March 2010. My oldest son is a world-class tenor sax player who played professionally in Japan for years; he now makes his home in Seattle, where he maintains an active career.
