I still like a lot of the music I enjoyed in the 60's & 70's. Was a major concert go'er during that time (Yardbirds, Animals, Cream, Sabbath, Leon Russell, all of the Kings-BB, Freddie, & Albert, Airplane, Stones, Dead, Zappa, Skynard, Joplin, Hendix, Ike & Tina Turner, Mountain, Traffic, Moody Blues, Savoy Brown, Mayall, Winter, Spirit, Jethro Tull, Zeppelin, Derek & the Dominoes; well-you get the idea. Worked equipment, sound boards, and lights for local bands in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Disco sucked. Petty saved rock & roll. Nirvana, Pearl Jam & Soundgarden sealed the deal. Any music played with passion is good. Never give up. There are still groups that play for the music, above profit; you just have to look a little harder for them (Gov't Mule, Sonny Landreth, Leslie West, Joanna Connor, & Shannon Curfman, Albert Cummings, & Popa Chubby come to mind; as well as nearly all the other assorted blues folks).
